Thiepval Memorial Class Prop

I contacted an English professor, Susan Walsh, to see what props she might need in her classes. She suggested a model of the Thiepval memorial in France. The Commonwealth War Graves Commission states that “The memorial commemorates more than 72,000 men of British and South African forces who died in the Somme sector before 20 March 1918 and have no known grave, the majority of whom died during the Somme offensive of 1916.”

My sketch in Fusion 360:

The building was very symmetrical, so there was no need to sketch every individual side; instead, the repeating faces were simply copied and placed after the original sketch was finished.

The print settings in Cura were 0.2mm layer height, no support, no plate adhesion, and 18% infill. This design uses 200 grams of filament and will take 20 hours and 11 minutes to print.
